{a prolonged rapture; the meeting of flesh, trauma, and ecstasy}

“To know myself I scarcely need a soul, I have only to gaze upon the gaping space in your loving body.”
"man's eye--understood as substitute for the penis--will be able to prospect woman's sexual parts, seek there new sources of profit."
"Each becomes the other in consumption, the nothing of the other in consummation."
- Speculum of the Other Woman, Luce Irigary

Performance series with AGROFEMME at:
- Queer New York International Arts Festival, Abrons Art Center, NY 2015
- Encuentro: Espacio abierto a libre performance, Lima, Peru 2015
- The Way of All Flesh conference, Segal Theater, City University of New York Graduate Center, NY, 2016
- FIAP Internation Performance Art Festival, Fort-de-France, Martinique 2017

FIAP performance reviewed by Raphaël Cuir for Art Press: "Ian Deleón and Tif Robinette alias Agrofemme have proposed a fantastic and erotic performance, even humorous, when Agrofemme, in place of her vulva, caresses the large shell of a lambi (conch), shell characteristic of Martinique. She teases a male (Deleón) with a waxing phallus, which is soon to be castrated by a mouse trap. But this male curiously harnessed, half machine, half-insect, finds its humanity thanks to the woman who strips it of these superfluous accessories."

Focusing on topics straddling the sublime line between pleasure and pain, ecstasy and mortification, humanity and the imundo. We incorporate an understanding and certain reverence for Christian saintly sacrificial rituals into endurance-driven performance actions with kink aesthetics and a literary preoccupation with feminist subjectivities, cannibalism, and an embrace of the non-human.

Evolving elements in these performances include a speculum-assisted close investigation of the female body performed by an upright cockroach-like figure; the masturbatory shredding of a phallic vegetable such as the cucumber using pin-lined fetish gloves; and an insectoid ‘crucifixion’ that climaxes with the transformative opening up of the sacred wound and consumption of its secretions.
